Believe it or not but some of the greatest arguments I've witnessed have been over the correct way to make a cup of tea. There are 3 main things that need to be right to achieve a great cup of tea.
The freshness of the tea
The temperature of the water and
The brewing time
It seems reasonably easy when someone explains the actions required to pour that perfect cup of tea, however, people are just too busy these days to ensure that the brewing time is correct and the water temperature is exact.
These days we turn the coffee machine on in the morning as we head off to the bathroom to finish getting ready or we switch on the kettle to boil as we jump into the shower or chase up the kids to get ready for school.
Well the good news is that we no longer have to put up with a mediocre cuppa any more. Now it is easy to get the cup of tea you desire with the correct water temperature and steeping time required.
The Electric Tea Kettles are here and they are making great cups of tea using any type of tea you like. null
After some intense research and many cups of tea, I've found what I believe to be the 3 best electric tea kettles on the market.
Firstly, the Breville One-Touch Tea Maker. By far my favorite of the three kettles. The Breville Tea Kettle allows tea leaves to be gently agitated by moving in and out of the water with it's fully automated tea basket.
Breville Tea Brewer has a very handy 60 minute keep warm feature and can be set at a programmed time to brew tea. The variable water temperature is adjustable via 5 degree increments and is also held at temperature while the tea is steeping.
The only fault I could find with the Breville Tea Kettle is the price. Undoubtedly one of the more expensive Electric Tea Kettles available but in my opinion worth the money.
My pick for kettle number 2 is actually the least expensive of all 3 kettles reviewed. The Adagio Teas TriniTea Electric 32 ounce tea maker.
A extremely easy to use machine, it has two temperature settings and a choice of 2-7 minutes for steeping time. The chamber at the top is where the water is heated. Once ready, the water drops into the second chamber where the tea steeps for the programmed time. Lastly the tea drops into the carafe at the bottom. The best feature of this kettle is that it will keep your tea warm for hours.
Its downfall is that it is not very fast. Taking up to 20 minutes, you may want to get this machine started a little earlier than usual.
Whilst it states that the machine makes 4 cups of tea, I was never able to manage to get 4 cups. Three cups was pretty much all I was able to produce.
Although there are a few flaws, given the price, I believe the Adagio Teas TriniTea Maker is still a good purchase.
Number 3 is the IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine.
This 4 cup tea machine has some nifty features including a 24 hour programmable timer which allows you to wake up to freshly brewed hot tea. The hot plate will keep your tea warm for 30 minutes before automatically shutting off. The filter and infusion basket swing out for easy cleaning.
Unable to change the 7 program settings on this machine is an issue for me. Settings can not be edited and therefore all temperature and timing is fixed. The programs only offer temperatures of 160 degrees or 205 degrees with no varying between.
The settings definitely take some getting use to and are not really user friendly.
The IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine is fairly costly. The 24 hour timer is the best feature of all however, for me, not having the opportunity to change water temperature is what lets this machine down. However if you are not too picky about the water temperature settings, then I would recommend checking this machine out.
